TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern your use of the LaxID platform, including tournament management, player profiles, scoring, payments, and all related services.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the LaxID platform ("LaxID"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
LaxID is operated by Cure Consulting Group Inc. These Terms apply to all users, including Tournament Directors, Club Directors, Club Coaches, Players, Guardians, Scouts, and Administrators.
If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf. Users under 13 are subject to additional COPPA protections outlined in our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

User Accounts & Roles

Tournament Director — Creates and manages events, schedules, scoring, and financial operations. Responsible for event-level compliance.
Club Director / Club Coach — Manages team rosters, submits team registrations, and oversees athlete participation within their organization.
Player — Participates in events, accumulates verified stats, and owns their player profile including OVR ratings and Q-Scores.
Guardian — Parent or legal guardian of a minor player. Required to provide verifiable consent for users under 13 (COPPA). May view and manage their child's profile and data.
Scout — Read-only access to public player profiles, leaderboards, and verified game data for recruiting purposes.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Payments & Fees

All payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Tournament registration fees are set by the Tournament Director and collected via Stripe Checkout at the time of registration.
LaxID platform fees (Free, Pro at $49/month, or Enterprise) are billed to Tournament Directors separately. Players do not pay LaxID directly.
Stripe processing fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) are absorbed by the Tournament Director unless configured to pass through to registrants.
Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. LaxID facilitates refund requests but the Tournament Director is the merchant of record.

Intellectual Property

The LaxID platform, including all software, designs, algorithms (OVR scoring, Q-Score engine, ranking algorithms), and documentation, is the exclusive property of Cure Consulting Group Inc.
Player-generated content (profile photos, bios) remains owned by the user. By uploading content, you grant LaxID a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it within the platform.
Game statistics, OVR ratings, and Q-Scores are computed by LaxID's proprietary algorithms. These derived metrics are LaxID intellectual property. Players may reference their own scores but may not reproduce the underlying algorithms.
Tournament Directors retain ownership of their event branding and configurations. LaxID may use anonymized aggregate data for platform improvement.

Prohibited Conduct

Manipulating or attempting to manipulate game scores, statistics, or OVR ratings through fraudulent scoring or collusion.
Accessing accounts or data belonging to other users without authorization.
Scraping, harvesting, or bulk-downloading player data, statistics, or leaderboard information.
Using the platform for any purpose other than legitimate lacrosse tournament management, participation, or scouting.
Violating any applicable local, state, federal, or international law while using the platform.
Circumventing platform security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions.

Limitation of Liability

LaxID provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
LaxID is not responsible for the conduct of Tournament Directors, coaches, players, or any other users during events.
LaxID is not liable for injuries, property damage, or any other harm occurring at tournament events. Tournament Directors assume responsibility for event safety and insurance.
LaxID's total liability to any user shall not exceed the amounts paid by that user to LaxID in the 12 months preceding the claim.
LaxID is not responsible for errors in OVR ratings, Q-Scores, or statistics resulting from incorrect data entry by scorers.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in New York County, New York.
Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with LaxID on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action.
LaxID may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
